Rapid Weight Loss

A rapid weight loss program will require significant changes in your life if it is to be successful. Successful weight loss requires a special commitment that cannot be underestimated and any weight loss program should be taken seriously as there are a number of things to consider. Many factors are involved in how quickly an individual will lose weight; some of these are listed here:

* Genetic make-up
* Previous mental anguish
* Determination

Excess weight can cause many health issues, including those of self image and worth. Of all the changes that happen to a person when they start to regain their old weight, it is those of being happy with what they are achieving that is the most pleasing. Although using a rapid weight loss plan can help achieve this in a short space of time but there is more to it than that; anyone contemplating this type of program needs to start eating a healthy diet as well as taking part in daily physical activity. This will require a regular and routine exercise period every day of about fifteen minutes, preferably a cardiovascular program and a diet that is flexible enough to incorporate personal tastes.

Do not worry if your rapid weight loss plan is not producing results as quickly as you would like; everyone has a different metabolism and some will see results faster than others; this is perfectly natural so do not become despondent. If you are not losing weight as fast as you would like, you can always change aspects of the plan you are on and adjust the amount of exercise you carry out each day but you will know your body and limitations better than anyone else. If you find a plan isn't working as it should then perhaps you will need to change the diet plan as each person's metabolism is different and you cannot expect every diet plan to work.

You would be wise to choose an exercise method that suits your physical abilities so if all you are able to do is walk then that is fine; don't be concerned if you find yourself building a little muscle from the activity as it will just burn the calories all the faster. Many people who are dieting forget the importance of staying hydrated; rapid weight loss depends on flushing your system out so you must stay hydrated during the process, about 6 large glasses per day should be enough. Keep away from fried foods especially deep-fried as they contain a great amount of fat and whilst fish and chicken appear leaner than beef, this white meat can contain more fat than when beef is fried.

Wherever possible have your food grilled as almost all of the fat is lost if not all of it so it's much healthier. Whilst some diets advocate a reduction in carbohydrates, this should be done in consultation with a nutritionist as carbohydrates are the fuel that creates the energy required for your body to function. This type of diet supplies between 1,000 and 1,500 calories per day and it is not too difficult to lose about a pound or so in weight every day; however, it is quite possible that weight will start to rise again if you do not maintain a reasonable calorie level each day.
