Menstrual Cramps

There comes a point in most women's lives where they firmly believe their body no longer likes them. Some women only start to really suffer with menstrual cramps (the bane of many women) when they enter their menopause. The situation can be made worse for approximately one in ten women who suffer with PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, a hormonal problem for women who are pre-menopausal. Some sail through the day with minor discomfort, while others are doubled over in pain and don't feel like getting out of bed that morning for anything.

Whilst a number of remedies available claim they will give menstrual cramp relief, it is the reliability of these drugs that often causes a problem. One of the most common types of comes in the form of a pill and many women swear by it. Pamprin is probably the best known of these, probably because it is marketed purely towards sufferers of this condition. Now, it is true to say that some women do not like taking any type of oral medication but perhaps it's now time to think about that stance.

Think about how many days you lose each year to painful cramps that you do not have to endure? To make matters worse, the cramps are only part of the problem if you are one of those individuals who also has to put up with nausea and a constant bloated feeling. On a personal level, I was just tired of the cramping pains and decided to source an effective menstrual cramp relief solution. It was so inconsistent; many months there would be hardly any pain and then I would have a cycle where I thought I had someone squeezing me tightly for hours on end.

I have tried all sorts including quite recently a heat pad which seems to work but I do have to vary where I position it for it to be effective. If pills don't seem to touch the pain, this may be something you want to try for your discomfort. However, if you endure more painful menstrual cramps you may need to try something stronger. Where this is causing a problem with attending work each cycle, you may forced into finding something to help before you find yourself seeking other employment

Of course you could try speaking to your doctor to see what thoughts he or she has on menstrual cramp relief remedies, especially if it causing you problems in addition to pain. Don't worry if your doctor suggests trying the Pill because he knows just how many women have benefited from this as a remedy, or he might have a new treatment that you haven't considered. If you are trying to get pregnant this will obviously be out of the question but this is not the only remedy your doctor will discuss with you. You can get relief from those awful cramps if you try enough different remedies because it is only a matter of time
